Head Swimming Teacher and Swim School Coordinator

Heron Swim Team Somerset is looking for a Head Teacher and Swim School Coordinator. 

We are a Swim England registered club based in Yeovilton, Somerset. We have about 100 children between Levels 1 and 10, ages 4 - 18, and a swim squad ages 10 - 18. Most of the swimming teachers are 16-18 year olds with a few adult volunteers. We swim on Friday nights from 1630 to 1830, and Saturday mornings from 0800 to 1030, as well as a squad session on Tuesdays from 1730 to 1630, for 10 weeks every term with school holidays off.

The job is to manage the swim school activity, ensure that the classes have sufficient teachers and helpers each week, assist the young teachers with their development, and stand in on occasion as a teacher. If you feel you have the qualifications and time, acting as head coach would also be helpful. The rest of the club is all volunteers. Poolside attendance during sessions would be required most of the time, although negotiable on occasion. 

Pay would be £20 per hour for every hour worked, including admin time required to set up the sessions, up to a maximum of 10 hours per week in term time. The terms of engagement would be under self-employment regulations.
