Hamilton Aquatics Swimming Training is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Club Coach fluent in Arabic to join our dynamic coaching team in Dubai.

Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Club Coach with a desire to contribute to the development of young swimmers from the learner pool to international podiums. This position will offer the opportunity to develop your coaching through mentoring and coach education, whilst working with the best young swimmers in the region.

Hamilton Aquatics is renowned for its progressive ethos in line with long-term athlete development (LTAD), the British Swimming Optimum Athlete Development Framework (OADF), and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a like-minded individual, who is willing to work hard and develop themselves within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivery of sessions for the Competition Junior Squads in line with the vision and philosophy of the Hamilton Aquatics coaching team.
  • Evaluate swimmer performance, provide constructive feedback, and monitor the progress of individual athletes.
  • Ensure a safe and encouraging environment for all swimmers in line with Hamilton Aquatics’ code of conduct and with consideration of child protection policies.
  • Collaborate with the senior coaching staff to identify talent and effectively move swimmers through the squads programme.
  • Engage with parents to provide updates on swimmer progress and educational information on the sport.
  • Effectively deal with enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Complete all administration tasks required for the smooth running of the squads on a daily basis.
  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities provided by Hamilton Aquatics.
  • Uphold the values and standards of Hamilton Aquatics, serving as a role model for young athletes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award, or UKCC Level 2 Coaching in Aquatics (or equivalent) Certificate
  • Experience in coaching young swimmers at the Learn to Train stage of LTAD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of swim stroke mechanics and training methodologies.
  • A proven track record in developing junior swimmers and managing their own squad.
  • Current lifeguard qualification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for training and competitions.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
  • Fluency in Arabic is essential for effective communication with our diverse swimmers and coaching team and is a key requirement for the growth of our Club squads.
