Seymour Synchro on a mission to help homeless

Seymour Synchronised Swimming Club proved that you can get involved in St Mungo’s Woolly Hat Day anywhere you like as they took to the water at Porchester Pool.

The swimmers donned bright orange bobble hats and called for the public to get involved with this year’s Woolly Hat Day on Friday 27 January 2017.

They performed some impressive underwater synchro routines in London’s West End. And they are asking for everyone to get involved in Woolly Hat Day by putting a hat on and donating money to help end homelessness and rebuild lives.

Rebecca Claris from the Seymour Synchro Swimming Club said: “Our swimming club is proud to support St Mungo’s Woolly Hat Day.

“We love swimming and what better reason to get in the pool than for a very worthwhile cause. It just goes to show that you really can get involved in Woolly Hat Day anywhere!

“Join us by putting your heads together to help end homelessness. We are encouraging everyone to put your hat on and raise money to help homeless people get ahead.”

Forecasters have predicted overnight temperatures will plummet over the coming weeks. This makes sleeping on the streets life-threatening yet the number of people sleeping rough in the UK has doubled since 2010.

Woolly Hat Day will see thousands of people from all walks of life taking to the streets wearing bobble hats, beanies, baseball caps and berets.
